Ifedayo Olarinde, known professionally as Daddy Freeze, a prominent Nigerian broadcaster with a history of sparking debate, has addressed a recent court ruling.
The Court of Appeal upheld a N5 million fine against Daddy Freeze related to adultery accusations.
The allegations stem from a 2021 lawsuit filed by Paul Odekina, claiming Daddy Freeze had an extramarital affair with Benedicta Elechi, Mr. Odekina's wife. The Rivers State High Court initially ruled in Mr. Odekina's favor, and the Court of Appeal's decision upholds that judgement.
Taking to Instagram Live on Friday, Daddy Freeze firmly denied the accusations. He stated, "While I will comply with the court's decision regarding the N5 million fine, I maintain my innocence entirely.
He added, This situation arose over twelve years ago during a period of personal difficulty for both myself and the aforementioned individual. We coincidentally encountered each other again at a church service recently. The allegations are demonstrably false."
