Chelsea Goalkeeper Djordje Petrović to Miss US Pre-Season Tour Due to Injury
It's been learnt that The Serbian goalkeeper is currently nursing a small injury, which will keep him out of the team's preparations for the new season.
According to reports, Petrović's injury is not considered serious, but the club has taken a cautious approach to ensure he receives adequate treatment and recovery time. As a result, he will remain in London while the rest of the squad travels to the United States for a series of high-profile friendly matches.
Enzo Maresca and his team are heading to the US for their pre-season tour, which kicks off in mid-July, will see Chelsea face off against Wrexham, Celtic, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Club America in five different cities. The matches are crucial for the team's preparation ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Blues endured a disappointing campaign in the just concluded 2023-24 where they finished outside the top six, leading to Mauricio Pochettino being Sacked.
The Former PSG boss was replaced by Enzo Maresca who left Leicester City following his triumph in the Championship.
