Ricardo Calafiori heading to London for medical ahead of Arsenal move

Arsenal is on the verge of finalizing the signing of Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, with the player poised to undergo medical tests in the coming days.

According to sources, Calafiori has agreed to a five-year contract with the Gunners, worth €4 million annually. The transfer fee is expected to be in the region of €40-55 million. Bologna will receive a substantial portion of this fee, with FC Basel, Calafiori's former club, entitled to 50% due to a sell-on clause.

The deal is anticipated to be confirmed once Calafiori completes his medical examinations, scheduled for later this week.

Calafiori's addition is set to enhance Arsenal's defensive lineup, offering valuable competition for the left-back position currently held by Oleksandr Zinchenko.
