A thief is currently sought by authorities after allegedly stealing a newcomer's phone at the RCCG Christ Ambassadors Youth Church on Peter Odili Road, Port Harcourt.
It was learnt that the incident, captured on video, involved the suspect posing as an usher and taking advantage of a request for assistance.
According to reports, the suspect, dressed in a pullover sweater, purportedly offered to help charge the newcomer's phone. Instead, he absconded with the device, leaving the church premises swiftly.
Efforts are now underway by both law enforcement and church officials to gather information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for this theft.
