Alexis Sanchez has made a return to Udinese, rejoining the Serie A club on a two-year contract following his departure from Inter Milan.
The deal was confirmed over the weekend, marking a significant move for Sanchez as he transitions from Inter Milan, where he was a free agent this summer.
This transfer sees Sanchez returning to Udinese after a 13-year absence. The Chilean forward, who had also been rumored to be moving back to Marseille, ultimately chose Udinese due to financial complexities surrounding the Marseille deal. During his time at Marseille, Sanchez had been linked with a return to the French side, but the club’s financial constraints made that move challenging.
Sanchez initially joined Udinese in 2008 and spent three seasons with the club until 2011. During his tenure, he made 112 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 20 assists. His return to Udinese marks a new chapter in his career, rekindling his connection with a club where he enjoyed a successful early period.
