Arsenal Dominates Bayer Leverkusen with 4-1 Victory in Pre-Season Friendly at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in a friendly match held at the Emirates Stadium in London on August 7, 2024.

The encounter showcased a strong performance from Arsenal, with goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz. Bayer Leverkusen’s lone goal came from Adam Hlozek.

The match commenced with Oleksandr Zinchenko putting Arsenal ahead in the 8th minute. His left-footed shot from outside the penalty area found the bottom right corner, assisted by Kai Havertz. 

Shortly after, Leandro Trossard doubled Arsenal’s lead with a right-footed strike from the center of the box, another assist from Havertz.

 Gabriel Jesus extended Arsenal's advantage in the 38th minute, skillfully dribbling past a defender and finishing with a shot from 20 yards. 

In the 65th minute, Kai Havertz completed the scoring for Arsenal with a close-range finish following a low cross from Bukayo Saka.

 Bayer Leverkusen’s consolation goal was scored by Adam Hlozek in the 76th minute.
