Handi, a contestant from Big Brother Naija Season 9, recently revealed that her twin sister and fellow housemate, Wanni, had a romantic interest in the renowned musician Davido. However, Handi was firmly opposed to this potential relationship.
In a discussion with Shaun and Wanni on Wednesday, Handi shared her concerns about Wanni's attraction to Davido. She expressed her belief that pursuing a relationship with the singer would lead to a lack of respect for Wanni.
During the conversation, Wanni touched on her “situation” with Davido, although she avoided mentioning his name directly. Instead, she referenced him through a line from his hit song "Champion Sound." Wanni recounted, “Let’s not call names but I told him [Shaun] about the situation with [sings the line from ‘Champion Sound’] ‘Take me away’. And he was like, that he would have been disappointed if I did something with him.”
Handi agreed with Shaun’s viewpoint, saying, “hmmm me too o!” indicating that she also shared the sentiment that the situation was problematic.
Shaun expressed his perspective, stating, “I don’t think it differently,” meaning he agreed with the concerns about the relationship.
Handi elaborated on the conflicts that arose during their tour, criticizing the idea of pursuing a relationship based solely on a crush. She remarked, “We fought seriously on our tour. It’s a different thing if you were in a relationship but for what? Because you have a crush on the person you just want to jump in. And the guy is bipolar as f*ck. I told her he won’t respect her.” Here, Handi highlighted her belief that Davido's unpredictable behavior would undermine any potential relationship, emphasizing her concerns about the lack of respect Wanni might face.
