Damini Ebunoluwa Odumusi, popularly known as Burna Boy, Nigeria's Grammy-winning superstar, has shared his thoughts on the recent Miss South Africa pageant, which was marred by controversy. The competition saw Mia Le Roux, a model from the Free State, crowned as the new Miss South Africa at a ceremony held at the Sun Bet Arena in Menlyn, Pretoria.

Le Roux's win comes after Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina withdrew from the pageant due to controversy surrounding her eligibility. Notably, Le Roux is the first Miss SA winner who is deaf and has a cochlear implant. She will make history as the first contestant with such a disability to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 competition in Mexico.

As part of her winnings, Le Roux received the Mowana crown, a fully furnished apartment, a Mercedes Benz, R1 million, and other prizes. Burna Boy reacted to the development with a cryptic message, saying "So after all that" accompanied by laughter emojis, seemingly expressing his amusement at the turn of events.

The Nigerian musician's comment comes amid a backdrop of controversy surrounding the pageant, with some critics questioning the authenticity of the competition. Nevertheless, Le Roux's historic win is set to inspire countless individuals, and her participation in the Miss Universe 2024 competition will undoubtedly be a milestone moment.

Burna Boy's reaction has sparked interest, with fans and followers weighing in on the matter. While some have praised Le Roux's win, others have expressed disappointment and frustration. The controversy has highlighted issues of inclusivity and representation in beauty pageants, sparking a broader conversation about diversity and empowerment.
