Recently evicted from Big Brother Naija Season 9, housemate Toyosi labeled her partner, Damilola, as "selfish" during a candid discussion. The pair, known as the Tami duo, were featured on the latest episode of ‘Hero’s Therapy,’ a show hosted by media personality Hero Daniels.
Toyosi expressed her frustrations, saying, “It has always been about you, you wanting me to do something, you don’t want to pursue your relationship with somebody because of me.” She continued to voice her concerns about how Dami had only considered her own feelings throughout their relationship. Toyosi remarked, “The whole time, I don’t think Dami has thought about how I’ve felt or how I really feel. It has just been about her feelings... She thinks, she thinks, she thinks. Which to me is selfish.”
In response, Dami suggested, “I think we should just have a space. I think that’s better,” a sentiment that appeared to catch Toyosi off guard. Toyosi responded, “I didn’t know that she would bring this up here,” while Dami added, “Mehn, I never knew I was going to bring this up here. Have your space as much as you want, I’m just gonna leave you.”
Toyosi reiterated her concerns, stating, “This is what I’m saying,” to which Dami questioned, “What are you saying?” The conversation continued with Toyosi explaining, “Don’t make me feel bad. I didn’t make you feel bad when you were feeling yourself,” and Dami defensively replying, “How am I making you feel bad?”
Toyosi concluded by highlighting Dami’s lack of empathy, saying, “The way you are talking, Dami.” Dami, still defensive, asked, “How am I supposed to talk?” Toyosi responded, “In a more understanding way. You’re not being understanding.”
