Liverpool has secured the signing of highly-rated goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, following the completion of his medical examination.
The 23-year-old Georgian shot-stopper has penned a six-year contract with the Reds, with a transfer fee reported to be in the region of £30 million.
It's been learnt that Mamardashvili will spend the upcoming 2024-25 season on loan at Spanish outfit Valencia, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills before joining Liverpool's first team. This arrangement allows the club to plan for the future, with current goalkeeper Alisson Becker still committed to the club until 2027.
