A Nigerian lady has voiced her dissatisfaction following the release of a video depicting Chinese Olympian Liu Yuchen proposing to his partner, Huang Ya Qiong, right after her gold medal win at the Paris Olympics.
In the video, Yuchen approaches Qiong immediately after she receives her gold medal and proposes to her, an event that many found heartwarming and celebratory. The scene, showcasing a significant personal milestone for the couple amidst the grandeur of the Olympics, quickly gained widespread admiration on social media.
However, the Nigerian lady took issue with the timing of the proposal. She criticized Yuchen for overshadowing Qiong's achievement and not allowing her to fully bask in the limelight of her victory. According to her, the proposal detracted from the focus on Qiong’s remarkable accomplishment and should have been timed differently to let her "shine" in her moment of glory.
