Tinubu Holds Urgent Closed-Door Meeting with Security Chiefs Amidst Nationwide Protests Against Hunger and Poor Governance

On August 5, President Bola Tinubu convened a private meeting with heads of security agencies at the State House. This session replaced the scheduled Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The closed-door discussion, which began at 2:00 p.m., was led by Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, who was accompanied by the service chiefs and other senior military and paramilitary officials.

This meeting takes place against the backdrop of widespread nationwide protests addressing issues of hunger and poor governance in the country.
