Victor Osimhen's highly anticipated transfer from Napoli to Chelsea has reached an impasse.
Despite generating significant interest from both Chelsea and Al Ahli, the 26-year-old striker was unable to reach a mutually agreeable deal with the Premier League club.
Chelsea's acquisition of Romelu Lukaku has further diminished the likelihood of Osimhen joining the Blues. Meanwhile, Al Ahli has secured the services of Ivan Toney from Brentford in a £40 million deal, effectively ending their pursuit of Osimhen.
With the Saudi Arabian transfer window slated to close on September 2, the prospects of Osimhen departing Italy appear increasingly remote. As the transfer window draws to a close, it seems that Osimhen will remain at Napoli for the foreseeable future.
