The highly anticipated draw for the 2024-2025 Europa League has been announced by UEFA, introducing significant format changes to the competition.

This season, the traditional group phase has been replaced by a league phase, where teams will face eight different opponents - four at home and four away. This new format will lead to a more exciting and unpredictable tournament.

The Europa League action kicks off on September 25-26, with the league phase running until January 30, instead of finishing before Christmas. The final is scheduled to take place at San Mames, the home stadium of Athletic Bilbao in Spain, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

The draw has produced some thrilling matchups, with top teams like Manchester United, Tottenham, and Roma facing challenging opponents. The new format ensures that teams must perform consistently to secure a spot in the knockout phase. The top eight teams will qualify automatically for the last 16, while those placing ninth to 24th will compete in a two-legged knockout play-off for a chance to advance.
