The 31-year-old goalkeeper joins Wolves on a contract that will run until 2028. Johnstone had been with Crystal Palace since 2022 but found himself sidelined in recent times due to the emergence of Dean Henderson as the club's preferred first-choice goalkeeper.
Before his stint at Crystal Palace, Johnstone had a significant career across several clubs. He initially developed at Manchester United but spent much of his early career on loan, including an 18-month spell at Aston Villa. In 2018, he moved to West Bromwich Albion on a permanent basis, where he was instrumental in their promotion to the Premier League during the 2019/2020 season. His performances there earned him a place in the England squad, where he has been capped four times.
Johnstone's move to Wolves comes as the club seeks to strengthen their squad, particularly in the goalkeeping department, amid uncertainties about the futures of current goalkeepers José Sá and Dan Bentley
