Anthony Martial is set to join AEK Athens after leaving Manchester United as a free agent.
Martial has agreed to a three-year deal with the Greek side, which will keep him in Athens until 2027. His move comes after parting ways with Manchester United, where his performance had been inconsistent in recent years due to injuries.
Despite initial talks with Flamengo in Brazil, AEK Athens successfully secured his signature, offering Martial a record-breaking contract reportedly worth £7.5 million over three years.
Martial's time at Manchester United spanned nine years, during which he scored 90 goals in 317 appearances. However, injuries and limited playing time under Erik ten Hag led to his departure.
His final match for the club occurred in December 2023. Now, Martial is looking to reignite his career in Greece, joining a competitive squad that includes former Premier League players such as Roberto Pereyra and Nordin Amrabat.
