Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori has made his way back to London following an injury he sustained during the international break.
The incident occurred during Italy's 3-1 UEFA Nations League victory over France in Paris. Calafiori was accidentally struck by Ousmane Dembele, resulting in injuries to both his left calf and right Achilles. This necessitated his early return for further assessment and treatment.
The medical team in London will now evaluate the extent of his injury and determine the appropriate course of action to ensure a swift recovery.
Recall that the Italian joined Arsenal this just concluded transfer window from Bologna, he made his Premier League debut in draw against Brighton Hove Albion last week.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is preparing for their next Premier League match against Manchester City, scheduled for September 15th at the Emirates Stadium.
