Barcelona forward Raphinha recently found himself in the spotlight for defending both himself and his wife, Natalia Rodrigues, from harsh comments on Instagram. During a brief holiday with his partner, while he was left out of Brazil's squad for international matches, Raphinha posted photos from their beach getaway.
Some online users made negative comments, questioning his appearance and even insinuating that his wife was with him solely for financial reasons. Remarks such as “the power of money” and “cut your hair” were among the criticisms he received.
In response, Raphinha did not hold back. He clapped back at the trolls, questioning their assumptions, saying, “Do you see money in the photo? Do you know where I come from?” He also sarcastically replied to other comments by stating, “You, even with money, wouldn’t have this” and “You’re ugly even with money.” His robust defense of both himself and his wife attracted significant attention, as it highlighted his refusal to accept baseless judgments.
Raphinha and Natalia have known each other since 2013, although they only began dating in 2021. The couple married in December 2022 and welcomed their first child in May 2023.
