Barcelona Dani Olmo has been declared fit for their La Liga match Girona, despite an injury scare while on international duty with Spain. 
If you recall that Olmo was withdrawn from Spain's squad for their UEFA Nations League game against Switzerland in Geneva, following a goalless draw with Serbia.
During the match in Belgrade, Olmo was substituted in the final minutes after a heavy challenge left him struggling. Spain's coach, Luis de la Fuente, decided not to risk Olmo for the upcoming game against Switzerland, and the player returned to Barcelona as a precaution.
The medical team for Spain indicated that this decision was made to prevent a more serious injury, allowing Olmo to rest before Barcelona's next La Liga fixture. Barcelona will face their local rivals, Girona, on September 15, and Olmo is expected to be fit for the Catalan derby.
