Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has revealed that Nicolas Jackson has signed a contract extension, tying him to the Blues until 2033.
This announcement comes on the heels of the team's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace earlier today.
Jackson, who joined Chelsea on July 1, 2023, for a transfer fee of £30 million, has quickly become an integral part of the team. In his appearances for the club, he has showcased his attacking prowess, scoring goals and providing assists.
Today's match against Crystal Palace saw him open the scoring in the 25th minute, only for Eberechi Eze to equalize for the visitors in the 53rd minute.
Maresca expressed his delight at Jackson's contract extension, stating, "I know he's signing a new contract. I'm very happy. Nicolas is doing a fantastic job on and off the ball. He scored already two goals [this season]. He scored again today. He had another two chances, but we are happy with him."
