Edurne De Gea, the wife of David de Gea, has firmly denied any rumors of marital issues with the new Fiorentina goalkeeper. In an interview with the Spanish news outlet Vanitatis, Edurne emphasized that their marriage remains strong and stable.
"We are doing very well, we are very happy, and we have not separated, and there is no crisis," Edurne stated. The 38-year-old further clarified that the distance between them is not a problem in their relationship. She explained that they have been managing a long-distance relationship for fourteen years due to their respective careers.
"Distance is not a problem," she reiterated. "We live our life at a distance because our work has required it. His work is outside of Spain, and mine is in Madrid."
In addition to addressing their relationship, it's worth noting David de Gea's recent move to Fiorentina. The former Manchester United goalkeeper joined the Italian club on a one-year contract with an option to extend for another season. Despite the physical separation, their bond remains strong and resilient.
David and Edurne, who have been married since 2010, are also proud parents to their daughter, Yanay, who was born in 2021. Their family life, though often lived apart due to professional commitments, remains a source of joy and strength for both.
