Jose Mourinho Praises Victor Osimhen as 'Fantastic Player' but Criticizes Striker for Diving

Jose Mourinho, the former Chelsea manager and current head of Fenerbahçe, has praised Victor Osimhen as a "fantastic player" whom he admires greatly. However, Mourinho has also criticized the Nigerian striker for "diving a lot."

During Mourinho's tenure at AS Roma, his team competed against Napoli, Osimhen's previous club. The striker has since been loaned to Galatasaray, a Turkish club that is a rival of Fenerbahçe.

Mourinho expressed that he would have considered purchasing Osimhen for €75 million if he had the financial resources. "Osimhen is a fantastic player," Mourinho stated, as quoted by Fanatik. "If I were at a club with the ability to spend €70-75 million, I would buy him."

He added, "I have no issues with Victor; I maintain a good relationship with him, even though he dives a lot. I told Osimhen, 'You are one of the best players in Africa alongside Salah. Previously, we had Drogba, Eto’o, and Weah. You shouldn’t be diving.'”
