Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reflected on the intense closing moments of the match between Manchester City and Arsenal, where emotions ran high, particularly between Erling Haaland and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Speaking about the incident, Guardiola noted, "The emotions are the emotions." He admitted that Haaland might not be proud of his actions but added, "In the type of challenge that Arsenal challenged us, I understand it."

The incident occurred when Haaland threw the ball at the back of Gabriel’s head shortly after Manchester City equalized late in the game. This heated exchange happened in the 98th minute when John Stones scored to level the match at 2-2. Haaland had earlier opened the scoring in the 9th minute, marking his 100th goal for Manchester City. Arsenal responded with a goal from Riccardo Calafiori in the 22nd minute, followed by Gabriel Magalhaes netting just before halftime.

The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, especially as Arsenal was forced to play with ten men for most of the second half after Leandro Trossard received a red card. Despite being a man down, Arsenal’s defense held firm until Stones' equalizer deep into stoppage time.

Looking ahead, Manchester City will face Newcastle United at St. James' Park this weekend. With City eager to continue their strong Premier League run, the upcoming match promises to deliver another exciting encounter.
