Manchester United forward Antony Santos has announced his engagement to his long-term partner, Rosilene Silva.
It's been learnt that the couple, who have been together since their school days in São Paulo, shared the joyous news via Instagram. Antony proposed during a romantic holiday on Italy’s picturesque Amalfi Coast.
The announcement was accompanied by a series of heartfelt photos, including one of Antony on bended knee and another of the couple sharing a tender kiss. The final image featured a heart-shaped flower arrangement with the words "Case Comigo?" – Portuguese for "Will you marry me?" Rosilene expressed her happiness with a message that read, "What God has in store for us is far more than we can imagine."
Despite this personal milestone, Antony has faced challenges on the professional front. He was not included in Manchester United's starting XI for their upcoming match against Southampton. This season, Antony has struggled to secure a regular spot in the team, having only made a brief substitute appearance in one of United's first four fixtures.
In the 2023/2024 season, Antony has made 38 appearances for Manchester United. Last season, he played in 53 matches, contributing significantly to the team's efforts. His performance has been under scrutiny, and he is working hard to regain his form and secure a more consistent role in the starting lineup.
