Youri Tielemans made history as he became Aston Villa’s first Champions League scorer in 41 years, netting the opener in a 3-0 victory over Swiss side Young Boys.

This momentous goal came from a well-executed corner, where Tielemans found the net with a powerful drive, marking Villa's return to Europe's top competition since 1983.

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins later assisted Jacob Ramsey for the second goal, taking advantage of a defensive error by the Young Boys, while Amadou Onana sealed the victory with a late strike.

Aston Villa’s journey to the Champions League was secured last season under Unai Emery's management, where they finished 6th in the Premier League, clinching qualification for this season’s competition.
