Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has taken a significant step towards reconciliation by issuing a heartfelt apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries.

The controversy between Abubakar and Suleman began in 2022 when the actress fell ill following an alleged altercation with the clergyman. During her illness, Abubakar's family publicly accused Suleman of involvement, sparking widespread speculation. Although Abubakar initially denied rumors of an autoimmune disease, she later shared her medical report to clarify the situation.

In a remarkable reversal, Abubakar has now taken responsibility for spreading falsehoods against Suleman, acknowledging the harm caused to his reputation and well-being. In a letter addressed to the clergyman, Abubakar expressed deep regret for her actions.

"I admit that I made false allegations against you and also regret my action and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry," she wrote. "With this letter, I humbly ask for forgiveness, recognizing that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain, and distress I caused... I'm truly sorry for all the hurts and distress I caused you, your family, and ministry."
