Barcelona recently extended the contract of their emerging midfielder, Fermín López, until June 2027. 
The 20-year-old has impressed since his return from a productive loan spell with Linares Deportivo, where he scored 12 goals.
López has featured in six matches for Barcelona this season, contributing two assists and showcasing his talent, especially during Barcelona's pre-season tour, where he scored in a 3-0 victory against Real Madrid.
Barcelona’s official statement celebrated López's commitment, underscoring his importance to the squad and the club’s focus on nurturing young talent from La Masia.
The statement also noted that López's new buyout clause is set at €400 million, reflecting Barcelona's confidence in his future potential. López's contract signing took place at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, attended by key club officials, including board member Joan Soler and sporting director Anderson Luis de Souza (Deco).
López now joins the ranks of other promising Barcelona talents, such as Pedri, Gavi, and Alejandro Balde, who continue to strengthen the club's foundation.
