Biodun Okeowo Defends Herself Amidst Controversy Over Alleged Betrayal Of "Husband Snatching"

Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, recently found herself embroiled in controversy, facing accusations of betraying her godmother, the legendary Lola Idije, by allegedly taking her daughter’s partner, now her husband. In response, Okeowo took to social media to passionately defend her name and reputation.

In her post, Okeowo revealed that Lola Idije and her daughter had actually met her husband through her, turning the allegations on their head. The blog Gistlover accused Omoborty of betraying her senior colleague and godmother by seducing and marrying her daughter’s partner.

The report unleashed a wave of controversy, dragging Omoborty’s reputation through the mud and linking her to betrayal, deceit, and secret romance. Gistlover, known for stirring drama within the entertainment sphere, painted a picture of a fractured relationship between Omoborty and Lola Idije, where trust was shattered beyond repair.

Further complicating matters, Gistlover drew parallels between Okeowo and her fellow industry divas, Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe, suggesting a pattern of entanglements with men that often ends in whispers of betrayal. The blog accused Okeowo of seducing her godmother’s daughter’s partner and secretly marrying him abroad, a union allegedly kept quiet to avoid public ridicule, said to have enraged Lola Idije and industry colleagues.

She categorically denied the claims, revealing that it was through her that Lola Idije and her daughter were introduced to her now-husband.

In a bold move, Omoborty publicly called out fellow actress Tosin Olaniyan, accusing her of fanning the flames with subtle online jabs. Okeowo challenged Olaniyan to clear her name, suggesting that her colleague had been stirring up tension behind the scenes.
