Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku is expected to be out for at least four weeks, keeping him sidelined until after the November international break. The Belgian international sustained the injury during the recent match against Wolves, and Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Doku won't be available for Manchester City until after the break.
During his pre-match press conference ahead of the weekend's game against Southampton, Guardiola remarked, "Jack (Grealish), yeah, I hope so. But Jeremy (Doku) I don't think so." He also mentioned that Doku’s injury occurred in the Wolves game, adding to the club's already extensive injury list.
This weekend, Manchester City will face Southampton at the Etihad Stadium, their final home game before the international break. They will be without several key players, including Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, and now Jeremy Doku. Despite these setbacks, Guardiola remains optimistic about his squad's depth and resilience.
Doku’s absence will be a significant loss, but it also provides an opportunity for other players to step up. Matheus Nunes, who recently impressed in the Champions League match against Sparta Prague, is expected to have a more prominent role during this period
