Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) showcased an exhilarating performance with a commanding 4-2 victory over Strasbourg Alsace at the Parc des Princes on October 19, 2024. 
Senny Mayulu opened the scoring for PSG early in the first half, setting a strong tone for the remainder of the game. Marco Asensio followed up with a well-timed strike, doubling PSG’s lead. Bradley Barcola added to Strasbourg's troubles by scoring the third goal, and Kang-In Lee delivered the final blow with a fourth, emphasizing PSG’s dominance throughout the match.
Despite being on the back foot, Strasbourg responded with determination. Sekou Mara and Pape Diong managed to score for the visitors, showcasing their fighting spirit. However, these efforts were not enough to close the gap, as PSG maintained control and secured the win.
This victory places PSG at the top of the Ligue 1 standings, level on points with AS Monaco. Meanwhile, Strasbourg remains in seventh place, despite their determined efforts.
PSG will now turn their focus to their upcoming UEFA Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven on October 22, 2024. Strasbourg, on the other hand, will aim to recover when they face Olympique Marseille on October 27, 2024.
