Real Madrid faced a 1-0 defeat against Lille in their recent UEFA Champions League match.

The game's only goal came from Jonathan David, who scored a penalty in the 45th minute. 

The penalty was awarded after a VAR review confirmed a handball by Eduardo Camavinga. David calmly placed his shot, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way and securing the victory for Lille.

Real Madrid will now focus on their next La Liga match against Villarreal CF, set for October 5, 2024, at the Santiago Bernabéu. Lille, on the other hand, will play Montpellier HSC on October 7, 2024, at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
