Victor Boniface, the Super Eagles forward, narrowly escaped a serious injury in a car accident just hours after scoring a remarkable goal for Bayer Leverkusen in their 2-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga last night.
The incident was highlighted by media personality and Twitter influencer Pooja Media, who shared a short clip of the crash on his Twitter timeline, quickly drawing attention online.
During the match, Boniface made a significant impact by scoring the decisive goal in the 77th minute, securing victory for Bayer Leverkusen. Despite missing an early penalty, Boniface's resilience and determination saw him make a comeback. Robert Andrich had earlier scored in the second half, leveling the score after Omar Marmoush had given Frankfurt the lead with a penalty in the 16th minute.
Bayer Leverkusen's victory moved them up to 4th place in the Bundesliga standings, while Eintracht Frankfurt remains in 6th place.
