Wizkid Reveals Turning Down Puma Before Davido Was Contacted

Popular Nigerian singer Wizkid has shared that renowned fashion brand Puma allegedly approached him first before offering their deal to Davido.

According to Wizkid, he declined Puma’s offer because they couldn't meet his financial expectations, as he was asking for more than they were willing to pay. He added that their budget was more suitable for Davido, who is currently the brand’s ambassador.

In a tweet, Wizkid stated, “U idiot! I turned down Puma cos they could no longer afford to pay me cos I wanted more! Don’t need dat! Way bigger than every artiste u just mentioned! Not jealous! love em all… With ur dirty ass shirt! Idiot!”

He further clarified his stance, saying, “No! Puma is a big brand! But the budget they had for Africa wasn’t for me! Was cool for your client tho! 🦅”
