Chelsea Manager Enzo Maresca Provides Injury Updates on James, Neto, Gusto and Colwill After Win Over Leicester City

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has shared important updates on the injury status of several key players before their recent match against Leicester City.

Reece James, the club captain, is awaiting a scan to assess the severity of his latest hamstring injury. Maresca mentioned, “We wait for Reece James to have a scan… we have still no updates.” This injury is particularly worrisome given James' history of hamstring problems over the past two seasons.

Malo Gusto was also unavailable for the match. Maresca explained, “Malo Gusto was with us but during the night he didn't feel well.” Additionally, Levi Colwill was ruled out due to illness.

Pedro Neto experienced a setback while on international duty. Maresca noted, “Pedro Neto had a problem with the international team and we didn't want to take any risks.”

In their latest match, Chelsea secured a 2-1 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 14th minute, followed by a goal from Enzo Fernandez in the 74th minute. Leicester City's Jordan Ayew managed to score a consolation goal in the 90th minute.
