Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has attributed the stability of the naira to divine intervention.
During the Special Holy Ghost Congress in Abuja, he highlighted the significant impact of prayer in preventing the exchange rate from reaching ₦10,000 for $1 amid the recent economic crisis.
Pastor Adeboye underscored the economic challenges facing Nigeria, particularly the nation's dependency on imported fuel despite its oil resources. He pointed out that the elimination of fuel subsidies, though economically necessary, provoked those benefiting from the previous system and contributed to economic volatility.
He emphasized that through collective prayer and divine intervention, a more severe devaluation of the naira was averted. Pastor Adeboye called for continued spiritual support to navigate the country's economic difficulties.
