Harry Kane’s long-awaited statue has finally been unveiled at the Peter May Centre in Walthamstow, London, after spending several years in storage.
The statue, which depicts Kane seated on a bench with a football on his lap, was completed in 2020 at a cost of £7,200.
Initially commissioned by Waltham Forest Council, the sculpture struggled to find a public display location, with plans to place it at Chingford station and Ridgeway Park both falling through due to logistical challenges. Now, the statue has found its home at the Peter May Centre, a place significant to Kane's early football career.
