Nollywood actor Kunle Afolayan has shared the heartbreaking news of his mother's passing, Ayanladun Afolayan, leaving both fans and colleagues in mourning.

The actress, who was 81 years old, passed away on November 2, 2024. Kunle announced her death on his official Instagram account, accompanied by a collection of touching photographs that highlighted treasured moments shared with his late mother and her grandchildren.

In his emotional tribute, Kunle expressed the challenge of coming to terms with his mother's loss while acknowledging the fulfilling life she led. He wrote, “It is hard to accept but she surely lived a good life. Our mother, Maami Omoladun Ayanladun Afolayan, has gone to rest. (1943-2024) She’s survived by children and grandchildren. Please put us in your prayers. Omo re a gbeyin gbogbo wa.”
