President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu shared a poignant image that captured the son of the late Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, pouring sand on his father’s casket during his burial at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on November 15, 2024.

Lieutenant General Lagbaja, a distinguished soldier known for his leadership and service, was appointed Chief of Army Staff in June 2023. His contributions to the Nigerian Army were celebrated during a state burial that included a Service of Songs, a funeral service, and military honors. President Tinubu also conferred a posthumous national honor on the late General, highlighting his legacy of commitment to the nation.
