Real Madrid has confirmed that defender Éder Militão sustained a torn ACL in his right knee during their recent LaLiga match against Osasuna. 
This injury is particularly unfortunate as Militão had only recently returned to play after recovering from a similar injury to his left knee last year.
The incident occurred in the 30th minute of the game, which Real Madrid won 4-0. Vinícius Júnior scored a hat-trick, and Jude Bellingham added another goal. Militão was visibly distressed as he was carried off the field, and subsequent medical examinations confirmed the severity of his injury.
