Real Madrid’s injury concerns grew significantly during their LaLiga fixture against Osasuna at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, as both Rodrygo and Eder Militão were forced off the pitch due to injuries within the first 20 minutes.
Rodrygo, who had just returned to the starting lineup following a recent hamstring injury that kept him out of the Clásico defeat to Barcelona, was the first to leave the field. Just under 20 minutes into the match, he went down clutching his left thigh, visibly distressed. The 23-year-old Brazilian forward was substituted for Brahim Díaz, heading to the bench in tears. Another muscle strain could lead to an extended absence for Rodrygo, further testing Real Madrid’s depth in attack.
Moments later, fellow Brazilian and central defender Eder Militão also had to leave the pitch, sparking additional concern. As he attempted to connect with a cross in Osasuna’s penalty area, Militão collapsed to the ground without apparent contact from Osasuna defender Flavien Boyonno, who was marking him at the time.
Militão was in clear pain as he received medical attention on the field and was eventually stretchered off, leaving Real Madrid with heightened uncertainty about his condition.
The early exits of these two key players present yet another challenge for Real Madrid as they navigate their season, with injuries threatening to disrupt their LaLiga campaign.
