Ruben Amorim is scheduled to arrive in England on Monday, but he will not be able to begin his tenure as Manchester United's new head coach until his work permit is approved.
The 39-year-old will travel to Manchester following his final match as manager of Sporting Lisbon against Braga on Sunday. However, Amorim is still awaiting the processing of his work permit, meaning he cannot officially commence his role or "get his feet on the grass," as per United sources.
With many players away on international duty, Amorim’s first game will not take place until November 24, when United face Ipswich at Portman Road. He will not be formally introduced to the media until his pre-match press conference for that game, although he may make an appearance on the club's in-house TV station before then.
