He admitted that while he identifies as a "loverboy," he has recently realized that relationships may not be ideal for his well-being.
In an interview with Naija FM, Ruger expressed that his instinct is to pursue serious relationships initially, but over time, he tends to lose interest. "I am a loverboy, it’s just now that I understand that relationships don’t work for me," he shared. "But normally, my first instinct when I see a girl is to think about how I can get serious with her. But later, I just become unserious all of a sudden."
When asked about interacting with female fans outside of performances, Ruger clarified that he maintains professional boundaries. "Honestly, no! The most I can give my female fan on stage is a flower. It’s like we’re working together; that’s how it is for me. I don’t take it beyond the stage, we work together."
Reflecting on his career, Ruger acknowledged the divine blessings that have shaped his success. He emphasized his gratitude for how far he has come and how important it is to take care of his family. "I don’t want to go back to the streets; I have to take care of my family. It wasn’t easy when I started, and it’s still not easy now. I pay people’s salaries now. I pay for a lot of things, and I’m planning a lot of things by myself. God has just been blessing my efforts".
