On Wednesday, YouTube removed the channel of Saint West, son of Kim Kardashian, following his upload of two controversial videos critiquing Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
The videos, which included pointed remarks about Harris, have sparked public debate on the role of social media in the lives of young children and the implications of early political commentary. This situation occurred just a month after Kim Kardashian took extra measures to guide her son’s online behavior by having him sign a unique, handwritten contract. The contract, crafted to establish firm boundaries, required Saint to obtain his mother’s approval before posting any content.
According to Miami Herald, the contract outlined strict limitations: “I, Saint West, agree to follow my mom’s rules in order to have a YouTube channel. I am not allowed to comment any personal family information. I am not allowed to film any personal information.
