Van de Ven sustained the injury during Tottenham's recent Carabao Cup victory over Manchester City. Although the injury is not severe, it will keep him sidelined until after the upcoming international break.

In a press conference, Postecoglou explained, "He has strained his hamstring. It’s not too serious but probably after the international break for him." He also mentioned that van de Ven was understandably upset about the injury, especially since he was looking forward to the match against Manchester City. "He was disappointed obviously and he was looking forward to the game, so a bit emotional, but it’s definitely not a bad one like last time which kept him out for a while," Postecoglou added.

Tottenham is set to play against Aston Villa this Sunday, November 3rd, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the match kicking off at 15:00 local time.

Despite van de Ven's absence, Postecoglou remains hopeful about the team's performance and hinted at the possible return of other key players. "Sonny has trained today, so if he gets through training tomorrow, he should be okay," he said, referring to team captain Heung-min Son.

This upcoming match against Aston Villa is crucial for Tottenham as they aim to maintain their strong position in the Premier League standings. Fans will be keen to see how the team adjusts without van de Ven and whether they can secure a vital home victory.
