Wilfred Ndidi, the Nigerian Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, recently sparked excitement among fans after sharing a photo of himself spending time with his dogs on Instagram.
The post followed his successful performance with the national team during the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, where Nigeria secured their place for the 2025 tournament in Morocco. Ndidi captioned the image: "Me and my dawgs," showing a lighter side after his international duties.
Ndidi participated in Nigeria's crucial AFCON qualifiers during the November international break. One of the key matches was a 1-1 draw against Benin Republic on November 14, 2024, in Abidjan. Victor Osimhen scored the equalizer for Nigeria, securing their spot in the tournament.
Additionally, Nigeria had faced Rwanda in Uyo, where they triumphed 2-1 to further strengthen their qualification bid. These results have confirmed Nigeria's place in the 2025 AFCON, with one game remaining in the qualifiers.
