Yoruba actress Foluke Daramola has been deeply affected by the passing of veteran actor Charles Olumo, widely known as Agbako.
In a poignant video shared on her Instagram page, Foluke is seen visiting the late actor’s home, where she mingled with his family and shed tears, expressing her sorrow and condolences.
In her heartfelt post, Foluke described Agbako as a "rare gem" and shared how much she would miss him. She wrote, "RIP to my rare gem 😢😢😢 I will surely miss you, Baami 🙏🙏🙏." Her tribute resonated with many fans and colleagues, who also took to social media to honor the beloved actor and share their memories.
Agbako, whose real name was Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, passed away at the age of 101 on October 31, 2024. His death marks the end of an era for many who grew up watching his iconic performances in numerous Yoruba films. He was laid to rest in Ogun State according to Islamic rites, with the burial ceremony held at his residence in Abeokuta. The event was attended by family members and notable figures from the Yoruba film industry, including Idowu Philips, known as Iya Rainbow.
Born on February 19, 1923, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Agbako's career spanned over four decades. He was renowned for his roles in films such as "Taxi Driver," "Jagun," "Amin Orun," "Aiye," "Jayesinmi," "Saworoide," and "Igbo Dudu."
