Manchester City's Kyle Walker has addressed fans following a tough 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the Amex Stadium on November 9, 2024, which marked the club’s fourth consecutive loss in all competitions.

The match saw Erling Haaland give City an early lead, but Brighton responded with two second-half goals from João Pedro and Matt O'Riley to secure the victory.

This followed a series of disappointing results, including a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth on November 2, a 4-1 defeat to Sporting CP in the Champions League on November 5, and a 2-1 exit from the EFL Cup at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on October 30.

In his open letter to fans, Walker urged the team to show resilience. "This is the time where I want to see the players... we built [the foundation] over the last eight years, and this will get us through this patch," he said. Walker called on senior players to lead by example and guide the younger or less experienced members of the squad. Confident that the team would overcome this rough patch, he added, "We need to weather the storm," reassuring fans that they would return stronger after the international break.
