27-Year-Old Kenyan Entrepreneur Ends Marriage to 66-Year-Old Husband Months After Traditional Wedding

27-year-old Kenyan entrepreneur, Carol Mwangi, has ended her marriage to 66-year-old businessman, Ben Waigwa, just months after their vibrant traditional wedding in February 2024.

The ceremony, held in Kiharu, Murang'a County, attracted widespread attention, with Mwangi sharing photos of the event on social media and joyfully announcing her new status as a married woman.

However, by August 2024, the couple’s union had come to an end. Confirming the separation, Mwangi revealed, "We parted ways in August...I had no choice but to leave." Following the breakup, she deleted her wedding photos from social media and focused on her entrepreneurial ventures, including running a clothing business in Ruiru.
