Fulham's head coach, Marco Silva, confirmed the severity of Nelson's injury, stating, "The first feedback I got from the medical staff is that it's going to be a hamstring injury. He's going to be out for this game for sure and probably the next game. Let's see how many more."

Prior to his injury, Nelson had become an integral part of Fulham's squad, starting five consecutive matches and contributing two goals and an assist across all competitions.

This injury not only affects Fulham's attacking options but also impacts Nelson's development during his loan spell. The 24-year-old winger is expected to return to Arsenal upon the conclusion of his loan agreement next summer.

In addition to Nelson's setback, Fulham is contending with other injury concerns. Defender Joachim Andersen has missed the last three games due to an Achilles tendon issue, and midfielder Harrison Reed is sidelined with a meniscus injury. Silva expressed hope for Andersen's return before the end of the year, noting, "He's already on the pitch working—not with the team yet... I really believe that before the end of the month he's going to be able to play."

Fulham's upcoming fixtures include challenging matches against Liverpool and Arsenal. The absence of key players like Nelson, Andersen, and Reed presents a significant challenge as the team aims to maintain its strong performance in the Premier League.

The club's medical staff will continue to monitor Nelson's rehabilitation process, with the goal of facilitating a full recovery and his eventual return to competitive play.
