Yamal suffered a significant challenge from Leganés midfielder Neyou in the 15th minute, aggravating his right ankle—a site previously injured earlier this season.
Despite the injury, Yamal continued to play for approximately 50 more minutes but was visibly affected, leading to his substitution in the 74th minute.
The club has scheduled medical evaluations to assess the severity of Yamal's injury and determine his availability for the crucial match against Atlético Madrid.
Given the proximity of the fixture, there is significant concern regarding his fitness for Barcelona's final game of 2024.
